This was never just a job. It was a purpose.

ABCD was founded from decades of firsthand experience in Supported Living Services—from providing direct, hands-on support as a DSP to working across multiple levels of the field and ultimately building an organization of our own.

Along the way, our founder saw both the incredible impact quality support can have and the consequences when that responsibility is taken for granted. Too often, individuals with developmental disabilities were surrounded by systems that focused on completing shifts instead of creating meaningful lives. Staff showed up, but true engagement, consistency, accountability, and compassion were sometimes missing.

We knew support could be better.

ABCD was created to take everything learned through decades of direct experience—the best practices, the lessons, and even the shortcomings witnessed firsthand—and build the kind of organization the people we serve deserve.

We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live their best life, in the least restrictive environment possible, surrounded by people who genuinely care about their goals, choices, relationships, health, independence, and happiness.

And that commitment extends beyond everyday support. ABCD brings people together through quarterly community events, with at least four events each year, along with our signature Annual ABCD Walk, Run & Roll-Athon, where individuals of all abilities are encouraged to participate, stay active, connect, and have fun.

Because at ABCD, the people we support aren’t numbers on a caseload.

They become family.
